My name is
Bobbi Graves and I am a graduate of Animal Behavior College where I earned my certification as an ABC Certified Dog Trainer. Animal Behavior College (ABC) is approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education and is an internationally recognized school. My year long commitment to this program has provided me with a formal education in canine obedience training and understanding behavior and its motives. My certification, education and experience provide me the skills required to effectively and humanely train your dog while keeping alive the spark that makes your dog so special to you.
I currently have the privilege of working as a canine trainer for the residents of Lee County Domestic Animal Services. I currently work two days a week at Lee County Domestic Animal Services educating Volunteers on canine body language and canine skills to help get residents adopted. I have also worked for and still support Animal Refuge Center, Gulf Coast Humane Society and Caloosa Humane Society.
I have been working with dogs most of my life. The first dog I ever trained was a 4 year old Dachshund named Betsy when I was 12 years old. I am a dog lover first, and a dog trainer second. I have four wonderful canine companions currently in my household and they are my best teachers. I know from first-hand experience the difference dog training makes in the relationship between dog and guardian. Without professional training it can sometimes be a frustrating relationship, but with an investment in good training a wonderful transformation can and will occur.
My training philosophy is...
Human and Canine Bond is unique
If it is rewarding a dog will repeat it
Training should be fun
If it is fun it will be repeated
I also believe....
We are Guardians not owners
A commitment is for life
My training methods include...
